Dibrugarh university is the well known and famous university in India, specially in north east part of India.It is in dibrugarh district of Assam. It was established in 1965 under the provisions of Dibrugahr University Act, 1965, enacted by Assam legislative Assembly. It is located in Rajabheta on NH-37 at a distance of about five kilometers from Dibrugarh town and 10 kilometers away form lepetkata.
The Dibrugarh University is very well linked by Road, railways, air and waterways. As university located on NH-37 it is very easy to reach here.there are two railway station in Dibrugarh district one is in Dibrugarh town and other is in Banipur, by airway there is a airport in Mohanbari. By water way there are two ferry ghat one is in Bogibil and other is in Paltan bazar.
